This week's Every Inchie Monday Challenge is "Oak." I was inspired by Michele Beauchamp's Oke pattern for my inchie. I drew my leaves a little more curly and added some Diva Dance in the background. I had done several studies and liked how this one turned out. I think it was the Diva Dance pattern in the background that makes the oak leaves look so happy.

This is my first time participating in Joey's Inside My Sketchbook Link Up for Friday. I decided to show a ZIA drawing that I've been working on since before Christmas. I would work on it a little bit at a time.I finally was able to finish it this week. It has been interesting watching it evolve over several months.
Sketchbook Used: Strathmore, Mixed Media paper with vellum surface, 5.5 in. x 8.5 in., 90 lb
Pens: Sakura Pigma Micron pens (.005 and .01) in black
what a lot to fit into an inchie - love the green oke. Your sketchbook is great too. So intricate
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
DeleteHeather, your Oke is nicely done. Those Chameleon markers really perform in organic drawings. The sketchbook page is beautiful. I saw your work in Krahula's "500 Tangles." Very nice. Have a brilliant day! c
ReplyDeleteThank you. :) I didn't realize my artwork was selected in her book. I'll have to go check it out. That's exciting!
DeleteIt just has to be Oke, doesn't it. Your journal page is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow! I can see why it took you this length of time to complete it! I find most projects that I get sidetracked from never get finished so good for you for finishing it. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI also love your inchie and the border that you used, your signature is so fun too!
Glad that you shared your work!
